RC7 and RC8 are later research and GIS-delivery milestones. They are not new downloadable model versions, and this repository contains no RC7/RC8 weights. The separate RC8 dataset contains the public GIS delivery.

Input: one full scanned geologic-map sheet.

Output: point-symbol labels and pixel boxes in strict JSON. Common examples include wells, mines, sample locations and bedding marks.

The RC4 LoRA adapter is downloaded separately from the linked RC4 repository; it is not duplicated here.

Limits

Full-sheet inputs; use the original RC4 setup for single legend crops.
Point symbols only. It does not produce the RC8 polygon files.
English-language USGS-style legends were evaluated; other map styles were not.
Labels and boxes are proposals for review, not authoritative map data.

Apache-2.0 covers the released code and project weights. Source-map redistribution rights are not granted by this repository.
