BuildEng V8 3B LoRA contains the adapter release used to specialize Qwen2.5-3B-Instruct for the BuildEng project, a domain-focused language model for civil engineering, structural reasoning, construction workflows, and conservative engineering-assistant behavior.

This repository contains the BuildEng LoRA adapter rather than the complete standalone base-model weights.
To use this release, the adapter must be loaded with the compatible Qwen2.5-3B-Instruct base model.

License and Commercial Use
This BuildEng adapter was developed using Qwen/Qwen2.5-3B-Instruct.
Qwen2.5-3B-Instruct is distributed under the Qwen Research License Agreement, and users of this adapter must also satisfy the licensing requirements applicable to the upstream Qwen base model.
Under the Qwen Research License Agreement, the default license grant covering use, reproduction, distribution, modification, and creation of derivative works from the Qwen materials is limited to non-commercial research and evaluation purposes.
Commercial use of the upstream Qwen materials requires requesting the appropriate license from Alibaba Cloud.
This adapter repository therefore must not be interpreted as providing Apache-2.0 rights over Qwen2.5-3B-Instruct or otherwise overriding the upstream Qwen licensing terms.

For deployments requiring a BuildEng model derived from an upstream Apache-2.0-licensed model, separate BuildEng variants based on Qwen2.5-1.5B and Qwen2.5-32B are available.
