Complete artifact release for the DSM/diffusion temporal-dictionary research arc (2026-08-10 to 08-13). Start with docs/2026-08-13_dsm_postmortem.md — the program verdict and claim ledger. Theory: docs/2026-08-12_bird_transfer_theory.md (covering-law derivations with pre-registered, subsequently-tested predictions). Checkpoints: Gemma-2-2B per-token pairs (10M + 100M token budgets), bayes_gate family, and Llama-3.1-8B / R1-Distill window-6 dictionaries (FineWeb, mixed-corpus, and distill-captured). evals/ holds every detection, steering, controls, and survivor-battery result JSON; probes/ the OOD-collapse and pullback probes. Headline results: a norm-matched random-direction control nullifies conventional activation steering while a trace-trained temporal crosscoder retains a +0.42 directional component; DSM training concentrates dictionaries per a covering law but adds no information beyond reconstruction on behavioural evals.
