SIKHYA is a fine-tuned, multimodal AI tutor based on the Gemma 4 E4B model. It is specifically designed to help students of the Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) by providing explanations in simple Punjabi, English, and Hindi.

Files in this Repository

This repository contains two GGUF files required for multimodal inference (e.g., via llama.cpp or mobile apps like PocketPal):

padhai-lm-q4_k_m.gguf: The 4-bit quantized language model.
padhai-mmproj-f16.gguf: The f16 vision projector (required for image inputs).

How to use with llama.cpp

To use the model with llama.cpp, you must pass both the language model and the multimodal projector:

Evaluation Results

The model was extensively evaluated on a 100-question test suite covering curriculum knowledge, multimodal grounding, Punjabi fluency, identity consistency, and anti-hallucination.

Training Data & Pipeline

The model was fine-tuned using Unsloth and PEFT (LoRA) on a custom, high-quality dataset encompassing:

Identity and Persona tuning (ensuring it identifies as PadhAI).
Synthetic Punjabi QA pairs (Socratic tutoring style).
Multimodal Grounded QA (incorporating over 80 PSEB textbook page images per book aligned with text chunks).
